THE MOUNTAIN PHILOSOPHY:

Everest is a revolution in choice and built on MOUNTAIN’s user-centric design philosophy: Innovation, Performance, Aesthetics and Modularity. Featuring patent-pending designs, Everest was created from the ground up to enable peak performance.

MEDIA DOCK WITH DISPLAY DIAL

A whole mountain range of controls and information on top of your keyboard. Also, the first of its kind to feature a display! Apart from easily accessible media controls, the display will enable you to monitor your system, display or switch profiles.

NUMPAD OR NOT-PAD?

If your daily routines include punching in numbers every so often, or you have an elaborate script and hotkey setup, the Numpad is for you. It was designed to fit snugly and securely to Everest and look great while serving alongside its bigger brother, either on the right or the left side of your keyboard.

CUSTOMIZABLE DISPLAY KEYS

To maximize your efficiency, modify the 4 display keys on your numpad to your heart’s desire. Choose your favorite shortcuts, macros or hotkeys and pick an image to make them your own.

GET THE EDGE FOR STREAMING

Base Camp features a tight integration with OBS Studio to enable recording, streaming, transitions and more with the push of a button. Includes custom icons for Display Keys to make sure you’ll never lose track of what’s important.

SWITCH IT UP

We selected the gold standard of mechanical switches. The modular approach makes it easy for you to replace the stock switches with any other compatible hot-swap variant, no soldering required.

EXTRA SMOOTH

Sound is a crucial aspect of every mechanical keyboard, and Everest goes the extra mile to achieve superiority. Featuring genuine Cherry stabilizers with tight tolerances, factory-tuned with Glaze GPL 205 Grade 0. Everest's stabilizers do away with rattle and noise, placing them in a league of their own.

Love it

It’s been a great little keyboard so far. My gripes are just with the software, but once it’s set up it’s good to go. I would like it if they added the ability for the image on the dial to be profile specific and not the same for all profiles.

Good Modular Keyboard, Fun To Mod

As A Person Who Both Likes Numpad, And Modding My Keyboard This Is A Great Option. Big Fan Of The Sheer Amount Of Options You Have With The LCD Screen Buttons And Nice Media Control Center And Option To Assentally Make It A TKL Whenever You Want. However The Software Holds It Back. The Software Is Kind Of Buggy And Sometimes Just Refuses To Update Your Settings, And Has A Hard Time Updating The Keyboards Firmware. Taking It Apart Was Fun And Enjoyable, Not The Best Sounding In The World But With Proper Modding It's More Than Acceptable, Overall Very Happy With This Purchase.

Decent hardware - unusable due to software

Save your money and buy literally any other mech keyboard. The thing that differentiates higher end programmable keyboards is the software. There are a million other mechanical, customizable, user serviceable, and rebuildable keyboards out there. You can choose whatever switches and keycaps you want on any custom keyboard from dozens of manufacturers. The thing that makes them special and usable is their software and here is where Mountain and their 'basecamp' software fails horribly. I get it, Mountain has my money - they tricked me into a sale - but the keyboard is in the trash because the software is such trash. Back to my GMMK. I thought Mountain may have been "The One" . It *could* have been GREAT, but the software fail just turns it into 'any other keyboard'. Which does not justify the price.

Good but could use improvement

Overall, the keyboard works and is modular. My only gripes with it is the customer service told me it would work with low profile keys since my plan was to use my own switches (reason why I bought this keyboard) but it DOES NOT. I'm new to the customizable mech keyboard scene (hence why I emailed customer service for the hopeful precise answer -- THEY SHOULD HAVE KNOWN the answer), but that's not the reason why I'm docking a star. It only gets 4 stars from me due to comfort/ease of use -- the included wrist rest, to me, was extremely uncomfortable (even when I adjusted the height of the KB to my liking). Not only that, if the kb was moved, the wrist rest would not move with it (since it's weakly attached by magnets and would fall off). If I want to move my keyboard, then I would have liked for the wrist rest to move along with it. The second was also the modular number keyboard, although stronger attached, was still too flimsy connected to the keyboard and I didn't have confidence to move it around much when I was moving my kb.

The solution here is simple: make a bigger/more comfy wrist rest and enable a way for the customer to attached it more securely to the keyboard to their liking to the kb (via screws). The same goes with the number keypad -- have optional holes where we could use screws to completely attach it to the kb to keep them both from moving if we wanted. The magnets are just too weak on their own.

If these issues are addressed, and they come out with a low profile modular keyboard version just like the Everest, I would def give it a buy. It's a solid keyboard now and would suit many users just fine, but I've gone low profile keys, and I just can't go back to normal keys now -- it's like seeing 4k and going back to 1080 resolution, I've been spoiled lol.

Gimmick at best

The numpad started needing reseating every couple of hours almost immediately, and the media dock very frequently wasn't frozen but could not perform any system actions like adjusting volume. I'd frequently have to restart the basecamp service to even get the keyboard to be recognized by the software

This keyboard lives or dies on the gimmicks provided by the software, and they can be described most generously as "finnicky." The keyboard itself isn't much to write home about, and quite a few switches needed lube. Otherwise it's inoffensive, I guess?

The only thing preventing me from requesting a refund is that the core keyboard experience itself isn't offensive enough to warrant the effort to replace all my keycaps and set up my old keyboard/software again. Everything surrounding that keyboard, the entire purpose for this modular platform, only hamper that experience.
