One of the better mice I have had so far.

So I have had quite a lot of mice. corsair, razer, logitech and more off brands like G-wolves. All I can really say is that this mouse can be amazing once they start patching bugs as the community finds them, its a rough product that can end up being something amazing. Only complaint I can give is that the RGB is lackluster but something I'm sure will be expanded on in the future. Build quality feels solid, weight is solid and dont get me started on how good the weight adding system is. Tracking is amazing and I haven't had any issues yet with it nor have I had any issues with the mouse itself only in basecamp, when the mouse isn't using cable then it will keep making new profiles when I press on the mouse in BC. If you are someone looking for a heavier mouse and a bit more "ergonomic" then this mouse truely is for you.

TLDR
pros:
- good performance
- good build quality
- love the shape
- love the weight (feels like I have more control)
cons:
- rgb is lackluster
- its a rough product (but will get ironed out as the community reports the bugs and as mountain themselfes find them).
- battery life is a little low but overall good and worse with rgb on (bcuz why wouldn't it be worse with rgb on).

They also do include STL files for the side plates in the mountain discord if you wanna edit and 3d print your own to tailor it more for your needs.

Overall 8/10 for me (only bcuz the rgb but as I staed it will get fixed I'm sure and when they do it will be a 10/10).

I love a big heavy mouse!

Call me old school but I prefer large size and heft when it comes to a gaming mouse. The Makula Max delivers on these features. I would love to go 5 stars but only 4 as I have struggled with the Base Camp software. For some unknown reason every few days it blows away my preferred profile and I have to start all over again. Support suggested uninstalling / rebooting / reinstalling Base Camp but that doesn't help. Profile set up disappears occasionally without warning and resets mouse to default.

works great so far

I have been using the Makaula Max mouse for about a month now and so far I love it. The only thing I wish it had was the free spin middle mouse button. For years I have been using the Logitech G502X and the button that allowed the mouse wheel to free spin is something I love about that mouse. My only other complaint is the battery life. My previous G502X I could use it 8 house a day and only charge it once or twice. The Makalu Max I need to charge it almost every day which kind of defeats the whole point of having a wireless mouse.

It's okay

The extra buttons are nice, and the ability to swap the sides for more ergonomic grips is nice. The Basecamp software is super buggy and very frustrating to use at times. The keybinds for the mouse buttons don't always map and when using the mouse wirelessly, the macros don't always work on the first click. They work just fine when plugged in to the USB-C cable. Overall build quality is decent.

I own the Makalu Max, Makalu 67, and the Everest Max. All of them have great potential but the execution needs work.
